Non Invasive Cardiology

Our focuses on the detection and treatment of heart disease, using external tests rather than instruments inserted into the body to evaluate and diagnose cardiac disorders. Patients with a history of heart disease, suspected valve disease, or chest pain with unknown causes may be referred to as a non-invasive evaluation.

Non-invasive cardiology identifies heart problems without using any needles, fluids, or other instruments inserted into the body. Non-invasive cardiologists utilize techniques such as:

  • Echocardiography: The usage of ultrasound waves to create images of the heart and surrounding structures in order to identify how well the heart pumps blood, infections, and structural abnormalities.
  • Stress tests: Stress testing usually involves exercise and is called exercise stress test(TMT)  and those people who can`t exercise because of orthopedic problems etc for them dobutamine stress test (DSE) is performed which is closely monitored by the cardiologist. These exercises provide information about how a person’s heart performs under physical //dobutamine stress.
  • Heart rhythm monitors: Heart rhythm monitors may also be called a Holter monitor or cardiac event recorder. Heart monitors are essentially tape recorders for your heart’s electrical activity over a set amount of time.
  • CT scans: CT scans produce images of the affected area examined by the radiologist for any heart diseases and atherosclerosis.CT coronary angiography is a noninvasive alternative of conventional angiography for diagnosis of heart blockages
  • Nuclear cardiology: A non-invasive study of cardiovascular disorders by means of various types of imaging that may use radioactive elements.
  • Cardiac MRI: Study and testing of the heart structural abnormality through MRI
